Weight loss wonders
Although I crowed lots about this in my own LJ, most of you folks here are not on my flist so I will re-crow somoe more.|
I stopped working out and watching wha I was eating in mid-July this year. At that point I was 218.5 pounds. From then until Tuesday of last week I put on 7 pounds. By going back to the gym and counting claories again, in 10 days I've busted my ass and taken off that weight and a half pound more. I am 218.0 today.
To borrow from my friends in various 12 step programs: The programs work, if you work it, so work it, you're worth it.
Reducing my calorie intake and getting in three full workouts, two partials, and two fight nights has, with the blessing of the good Lord God, led to me being the least I've weighed since probably 1990. Greatest thanks to God and all who have supported and shared with me.
With luck and the continued help of God I will make my intermediate goals of 210 pounds before Columbus Day, 200 pounds before Thanksgiving, and my ultimate goal of 190 pounds by the end of the year.
It's kinda nutty for me, I had originally planned on going down to 220 but figured that if I got stuck at 250 I'd be content. Then after good success and talking with my doctor I planned on getting down to 200. Then I decided that another ten pounds wouldn't hurt either; that way I can stay in the 190-200 pounds range.
